Inkjet printing paper is specifically designed for inkjet printers, delivering outstanding print quality that far surpasses that of ordinary copy paper. It is primarily used in laser printing, CAD plotting, thermal transfer printing, electrostatic copying, and faxing, among other applications.
There is a wide variety of office paper, which can be classified into the following categories based on function:
1. Copy paper: The workhorse of everyday office use, suitable for laser printers, copiers, and other devices. Common specifications include 70 g/m² and 80 g/m² A4 size; it features a dense texture and moderate whiteness. When selecting, keep in mind that unbleached white paper is easier on the eyes and best for internal use, while bleached paper offers better color reproduction and is more suitable for external documents.
2. Printing paper: This is divided into standard printing paper and pressure-sensitive multi-ply paper (such as two-ply or three-ply). Multi-ply paper is used for invoices, delivery notes, and other applications that require multiple copies; when purchasing, be sure to specify the number of plies to avoid misuse.
3. Thermal paper: Used in cash registers, ATMs, and other devices, it develops color through a thermosensitive coating. High-quality thermal paper delivers crisp, clear prints and has a long shelf life, making it ideal for printing receipts and vouchers.
4. Engineering/Drawing Paper: High fold resistance and low dust generation, meeting the professional requirements of the architecture and design industries.
5. Label paper/adhesive paper: Used for barcode printing, product labeling, and other applications; select products with moderate adhesion and high tear resistance.
Shopping Guide:
- Smoothness: The smoother the paper surface, the sharper the print quality and the less ink bleed.
- Stiffness and thickness: Paper with high stiffness is less likely to curl, making it suitable for frequent handling; thickness should be selected based on equipment requirements to prevent paper jams or excessive costs.
- Environmental friendliness: Prioritize 100% wood-pulp neutral paper, which generates minimal dust, resists yellowing over long-term storage, and is harmless to humans.
- Brand and value: Well-known brands offer consistent quality, but you should choose based on your budget. For internal documents, opt for the 70 g/m² economy option; for external communications, use the 80 g/m² version to enhance the perceived quality.
